This app is intended for Massachusetts residents who use the same Commuter Rail line every day to get to work or to school. It uses data made available by the MBTA to track the Commuter Rail in real-time. The app can help you decide if you have to rush to make the train, or if you can restfully finish your morning coffee without fear.

The apps user interface is designed to be very simple and intuitive. When you select your rail line, you can see the scheduled train arrival times and the lateness for the next two or three hours for all the stops on the line. You can switch between Inbound and Outbound and view a map of the entire Commuter Rail system. When you select a stop, you can see detailed predictions for it and save the stop to your favorites to ensure quick access to it at any time. You can also view a detailed MBTA schedule for the line.

There are two optional settings. You can choose to go straight to the last stop you viewed, whenever you load the app. You can also turn on automatic refreshing of prediction times and bus locations on the map.

The data behind this app is provided by the MBTA. They are constantly working on improving the data, so if you notice any issues with the data, please email [email protected].

This App is compatible with the iPhone and iPod Touch, but it requires an Internet connection (3G or WiFi).
